HaCANa Matata: Feeding the Pride
Our sculpture recreates the iconic Pride Rock from Disney’s “The Lion King”. Inspired by the timeless tale of courage, family, and the circle of life, our design aims to not only capture the essence of Pride Rock but also make a meaningful impact by providing nourishment to those in need.
The base of Pride Rock is made from sturdy canned goods which form the stable foundation, symbolizing the support and strength of the pride. The core structure is stacked strategically to mimic the rugged and majestic appearance of the rock formation. Surrounding Pride Rock, a vibrant skyline represents the African sunset that illuminates the horizon, adding a colorful backdrop to the scene. But this more than just a sculpture – it’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of collective action. By bringing together the magic of The Lion King and the mission of Canstruction, we hope to inspire others to join us in the fight against hunger and make a difference, one can at a time.
