2026 Competition
On May 2, 2026 CANstruction Edmonton will return in support of the Edmonton Food Bank. Like other cities food insecurity continues to increase. For the full year 2024, nearly 80,000 unique individuals throughout Edmonton received a food hamper, with an average of 41,600 people supported monthly all year.
380 community partners, including soup kitchens, shelters, and other vital agencies, received food for their programming, allowing the Edmonton Food Bank to collectively provide over 450,000 meals and snacks monthly.
The warehouse team salvaged surplus food, preventing waste and feeding those in need. In 2024 alone, more than 4 million kilograms of food was rescued, representing 60% of all the food distributed.
Our 16th annual event will be held at West Edmonton Mall.
Every year 30 million people visit the mall and 50,000 to 60,000 people on a given Saturday. This brings greater recognition for each team member and increased exposure for each company and their commitment to the Edmonton community.
